Mahashivratri or the great night of Lord Shiva is one of the most auspicious festivals for Hindus across the world. And this year it is falling on 21st February. During the festival, numerous Shiva devotees keep a fast. While some devotees prefer to eat after midnight, when the day is officially over, while some eat sattvik food in the evening.
